Overweight and obesity is now a major public health problem and it is estimated that approximately 10% of men and 12% of women in Sweden have a BMI over 30, ie. obese. </p>
<p>Even children are affected, and about 3% is estimated to belong to the corresponding category. No one can say with certainty what obesity is because there are many theories. Lifestyle affects, as well as genetic factors, but the world over are agreed that something must be done to stem the obesity epidemic. Thirty minutes of physical activity a day is the usual recommendation. Four of the studies I raise in this work include various amounts and intensity of exercise and the results. Similarly, there is a study that takes up only diets. Two of the four motion studies also have limitations in the diet as a supplement to the motion.<br />

All articles included in my literature is based on open randomized trials. My conclusion is that thirty minutes of exercise enough in many cases to contain and combat obesity epidemic, but for those who already suffer from obesity involves increased physical exercise usually better results. To change their diet and exclude or cut back on certain things such as Sugar also contributes to weight loss. I believe that a combination of good diet and exercise are the best formula for weight loss, and other factors that support from family and surroundings can increase the chances of success.</p>

Obesity is associated with an increased risk of diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and osteoarthrits, increased mortality, increased costs for health care and reduction in health related quality of life.   </p>
<p>Surgery for weight loss is the only effective method to help these people to reduce weight.  The purpose of this study was therefore to examine the patient? experience of health related quality of life after surgery for weight loss. The method that was applied was a literature review.  The analysis identified four different dimensions of health related quality of life: physical, psychological, social and public.  The results show that patients&#8217; quality of life generally improve after surgery.<br />

In addition to gut the quality of life improved, so even patients&#8217; physical functioning, self-esteem, psychological well-being and social functioning.  Variables that postoperative complications, depression or psychiatric disorders, however, seemed to have a negative impact on their quality of life.  There was also no differences between men and women: women who were satisfied with the weight loss reported a better sex life and women with psychiatric disorders reported lower self-esteem.</p>

The aim is to describe adults obese people&#8217;s experiences and management of weight loss.<br />

The method used is litteraturbaserade qualitative studies of eight articles. The obese people experience emerging from the three themes.   Experiences before the weight loss describes various stages of obese people undergo before they decide for weight loss and also describes the experiences of condemnation attitudes.   Experiences and strategies for weight loss describes the lifestyle requires a great deal of commitment and how important it is to support both during weight loss but also a long time afterwards.  </p>
<p>Experiences after weight describing the successful weight loss provides increased well-being and better functional capacity, but to then be able to maintain the weight is described as a constant battle against weight gain.   By having knowledge of the stages that the obese are experiencing with weight loss can nurse adapt its treatment on the basis of the current stadium.  This allows the nurse to avoid trying to motivate people who are not receptive to advice so as to make it at times when it might be fruitful.  This knowledge can also increase the emotional awareness of the obese man&#8217;s vulnerability.</p>

My parents were so excited that they have already forgotten the visit they made to Jun’s dorm a month ago. Well, that’s the way parents are. Anyways, when Jun opened our front door and stepped into the house, everyone was on him almost immediately.<span id="more-94"></span></p>
<p>But amidst all those chatter, the smiles, the welcome home remarks, there was one comment that rang through the whole house. It was my niece saying “boy, have you gotten fat.” Jun, fortunately, just brushed it off. However, to some people, college weight gain cannot be brushed off quite easily. </p>
